Within the framework of the four-year Sustainable Tourism Development project from 2014 to 2017 between the Faculty of Tourism Studies, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Department of Geography, the University of Greifswald, Germany. In the morning of 26 March 2015 and 27 March 2015, Dr. Pham Hong Long, Deputy Dean of Faculty of Tourism Studies, and Assoc. Dr Tran Duc Thanh, Head of the Department of Culture and Geographic Tourism had a meeting with Professor Steingrube and Assistant Kristin from the Department of Geography, University of Greifswald, Germany.
During two working days, Professor Steingrube and Assoc Tran Duc Thanh talked about the introduction of two new subjects in the Master of Tourism program. They are Regional Planning and Tourism Consulting. After this presentation, both sides gave their comments and contributed to make them more suitable to the economic, social, and educational contexts of education in Germany and Vietnam.
In two working days, both sides also discussed a number of issues such as joining together in hosting international science seminars, exchanging students, lectures of Greifswald University to Vietnam to study and work as well as the Faculty of Tourism to study and work at Greisfwald University. The work took place in a happy and cooperative atmosphere.
