Cooperation with YAMANASHI University, Japan

On the morning of August 28, 2017, Doctor Pham Hong Long – Dean of the Faculty of Tourism Studies and Master Luong Ngoc Vinh - Deputy Head of Cooperation and Development, University of Social Sciences and Humanities met Associate Professor Ando Katsuhiro. Doctor Katsuhiro came from Yamanashi University of Japan to discuss and agree on the contents related to the signing of cooperation documents (MOU) between the two parties, especially about exchange of lecturers and students. The cooperation document is expected to be valid for a period of 5 years (can be re-signed) at the earliest. Also on this occasion, Doctor Ando Katsuhiro introduced student named Fujita - freshman of Yamanashi University. Fujita would join to study at the Faculty of Tourism Studies for 1 year, starting from September 2017. Both sides look forward Fujita to become the bridge of relationship between the two schools.

Additional information, before moving to work as Travel Instructor at Yamanashi University in Japan, Doctor Ando Katsuhiro used to work at Showa Women's University, Japan and he was a specialist with 10 years of experience in Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) working at Vietnam in field of tourism. He is the author of the book "Practical Handbook of Rural Tourism Development in Vietnam", published in 3 languages (Japanese, Vietnamese, English). The book has valuable and meaningful theoretical for the development of agricultural tourism, rural tourism and community tourism in Vietnam.
