From July 1st, 2014 to July 10th, 2014, having the permission of the Faculty, the University and the support of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, MA. Dinh Nhat Le, lecturer of the Tourism Faculty in USSH, took part in the JENESYS 2.0 program in Japan. The program sponsored by the Government of Japan was designed for under-30 lecturer and students to go to Japan for sightseeing, exchanging culture, and studying Japanese tourism. Vietnamese delegation consisted of 10 members from many universities and diversified majors such as Tourism Studies, Vietnam Studies, Oriential Studies, etc.

In the framework of this program, Vietnamese delegation visited many famous landmarks in Tokyo, namely Meiji Shrine, Akihabara – famous for its many electronics shops, Shinjuku stress, a destination of cosplay lovers, etc. In addition, the delegation also visited some Japanese Universities in Tokyo, Kanagawa and Panasonic high-tech centre, KAO corporation, etc. Besides the official activities, the group had chance to experience Japanese cuisine through many various meals of different areas in the capital - Tokyo and Yokohama city. Japanese dishes are not only delicious but also presented beautifully and sophisticatedly. The serving containing all necessary nutritional elements was sufficient for each person.

Aiming for cultural exchange between Japan and other countries, the Vietnamese deputation had a homestay experience with Japanese family in Kanagawa. The Japanese family here took part in the volunteer network and usually welcomed students and lecturer from all around the world. Despite the short-term stay, all members of the delegation had experienced Japanese life and hospitality.

Thanks to the program, lectures and students of the Vietnamese delegation had not only learnt from Japanese tourism and their modest, disciplinal and nature-friendly life but also connected with the young Japanese. Let’s hope that there will be more and more opportunity for the teachers and students of the Faculty of Tourism Studies to broaden their knowledge as well as their relationship with international friends.
