THE SECOND STUDENT SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH SEMINAR

Thanks to support from the teachers in the first seminar, student sciences research activities have received many positive changes. Therefore, the Faculty of Tourism Studies is going to hold the second seminar on Friday, January 09, 2015 at 2:00 P.M o’clock. The faculty board, science research assistants, teachers and students of Faculty of Tourism Studies will attend the seminar.

 

After the opening of Dr. Nguyen Quang Vinh and Dr. Tran Thi Mai Hoa‘s speech on the status, schedule submission of student sciences research, the seminar moved on to the presentations of teachers. The main contents included general issues, citation and some methodologies. MA. Trinh Le Anh had an interesting talk about the significance of a science research abstract. Next, MA. Nguyen Thu Thuy and MA. Pham Hong Long had shared some common methodologies in research with students. These methodologies are observation, interviews, questionnaire, and sampling methods. The presentations of teachers helped the students have a preliminary understanding to effectively use in their research. At the end of the seminar, Dr. Tran Thi Mai Hoa had talked about the notices to the citation of references.

 

According to the feedback form for attended students, the seminar had received many positive reviews. However, because of the weather issue and the mid-term examinations, the number of attendants was limited.

 

The seminar provided interesting, useful and effectively knowledge as well as methodologies for science research.
