Science talkshow _the topic "Growth and Fragmentation: Backpacker tourism in South-East Asia"

On the morning of May 15, 2015, the Faculty of Tourism Studies held a scientific talkshow by Dr. Mark Hampton, Kent University, UK on "Growth and Fragmentation: Backpacker Tourism in South-East Asia". This is one of the activities to mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Faculty of Tourism Studies and is part of the project co-funded by the British Council and Kent University.

The talkshow was attended by Dr Julia Jeyacheya, associate professor at Kent University, Faculty staff, graduated students, and students and some members of Responsible Tourism Club (RTC). Dr. Mark Hampton provided listeners with scientific information that he spent a lot of time and heartedly researching on "backpacking" - backpacking tourism in Southeast Asia. After the presentation, Dr. Mark spent time exchanging - sharing his experiences and answering questions related to this growing type of tourism.

At the end of the talk, Dr Pham Hong Long, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Tourism Studies, gave a donation to the two guests on behalf of the Faculty, and also expressed his wish to Dr. Mark, representing Kent University. , continue to support Faculty and staff of Faculty in research and teaching.
