MC Hoàng Tùng – An Inspiring Alumnus at the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the Faculty of Tourism Studies

FROM A PROACTIVE STUDENT TO AN ADMIRABLE SELF-MADE JOURNEY
Hoàng Tùng’s journey with the stage began during his early university years. He was well-known for his active involvement in Youth Union activities and for his unique talent: magic performance. This skill not only brought him to numerous stages inside and outside the university but also became a significant source of income, helping him support himself financially throughout his student life.

At the same time, Tùng took on tutoring in the evenings - a job that demanded patience, discipline, and responsibility. Balancing his studies, teaching schedule, and performance engagements helped him develop strong time-management skills, perseverance, and independence - qualities that later became essential foundations for his professional career as an MC.
Thanks to his efforts, Hoàng Tùng consistently made a mark in various student activities at and beyond the university:
- Top 3 - VNU’s Got Talent 2018
- Runner-up - Banking Academy’s Student Talent Search
- Top 3 -  Hanoi Street Art Festival
- Top 24 - Miss & Mr VNU 2019
- Gold Medal - Men’s Team Category, USSH Sports Festival 2019
These achievements represent not only his personal milestones but also the signature spirit of students in the Faculty of Tourism Studies: Dynamic -  Creative - Determined.
A MEANINGFUL TURNING POINT WITH THE MC PROFESSION
Tùng’s journey as an MC came naturally. At the end of his first year, he attended a workshop on tour guiding - even though his major was Hotel Management. What began as a simple attempt to “explore something new” unexpectedly sparked his passion for public speaking and emotional connection with an audience.
With serious investment in vocal training, stage presence, and communication - journalism knowledge, Hoàng Tùng has, in recent years, become a familiar face at major national events:
 Vietnam - Korea Digital Forum, Vietnam Private Sector Panorama Conference, The NEXT Live Concert Series across various cities, Ho Chi Minh City International Martial Arts Festival, and many more cultural, political, economic, and academic programs.

A major milestone in his career is becoming Runner-up of “The TVFACE 2025”, a prestigious reality competition seeking top MC talents on HTV9. Surpassing dozens of contestants from across the country, Tùng was also notably the first Northern-accent contestant in nearly 10 years of the show’s history to reach the Runner-up position - an achievement that affirms his versatility and confidence on stage.

THE DAY HE RETURNED…
At the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the Faculty of Tourism Studies, Hoàng Tùng returned not only as an alumnus but also as the main host of the event. His maturity, confidence, and professional demeanor left a strong impression on lecturers and students alike.

From a student who loved magic, tutored to make ends meet, and explored artistic opportunities - to a professional MC leading major national and international events - his journey is a testament to how the Faculty of Tourism Studies nurtures and empowers its students to succeed when they dare to pursue their passion wholeheartedly.

AN INSPIRATION FOR THE GEN Z GENERATION
Hoàng Tùng’s homecoming not only reignited motivation and passion but also conveyed a gentle reminder to the Gen Z students of the Faculty:
“Opportunities will always come to those who keep trying, dare to explore, dare to fail, and dare to rise again.”
His growth, starting from his own university days, is living proof that with initiative, perseverance, and courage, every student of the Faculty of Tourism Studies can create a shining journey of their own.
